Weaving museum

Corbeil-Essonnes-Platz 4, 71063 Sindelfingen

To promote weaving and the textile industry, which have a long tradition in Sindelfingen, the city had this house built in 1900 as a weaving school. Since its move to the Gottlieb Daimler School in 1976, it has been the House of Hand Weaving. The Handweaving Interest Group aims to preserve traditional craft techniques and organizes a variety of specialist courses. At the same time, the Weaving Museum has been presenting the historical significance of weaving for the town's history since 2000. Hand weaving was added to the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List for Germany in 2023.
